Clinton Calling ...June 25, 2010 On June 24, 2010, 27 members of Congress sent a letter asking Secretary of State Clinton to send Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Michael Posner to Honduras to assess the political and human rights situation. The letter points to continuing human rights abuses, the assassination of nine journalists this year alone, and political corruption as reasons for an early and accurate report.
