WOLA and partners send packet of information to Members of US Congress on Afro-Colombian concerns prior to their delegation to Colombia in June 2007

This packet contains a collection of documents, including a memo prepared by WOLA and other groups for Members who traveled to Colombia in June which describes some priority concerns regarding Afro-Colombians including the critical humanitarian situations in Buenaventura and Narino, an English translation of the Afro-Colombian community's "Cali Consensus " document and a letter from Afro-Colombian grassroots organizations to the U.S. Congress. Also included is the text of the English translation of Law 70, which is the legal basis for Afro-Colombian territorial rights.
