WOLA participating in the 2008 Global Forum of Producers of Crops Declared to be Illicit (FMPCDI)
Senior Fellow Coletta Youngers is representing WOLA on the organizing committee for the 2008 FMPCDI, which gathers agrarian and social organizations, key experts, NGOs, and governmental institutions from all continents to participate in an exchange of ideas about how to foster alternative forms of development in peasant and indigenous communities that currently produce crops declared to be illicit, while respecting the human rights of these communities. The conference will take place in early 2008.
