Cuban Democracy and Human Rights Advocates Send Letter to US Congress

Cuban dissidents call on the US Congress to lift the ban on travel to Cuba and pass HR 4645.

Many of Cuba's most well-known dissidents just released this letter asking Members of Congress to support HR 4645, which would lift the ban on travel to Cuba and facilitate the sale of agricultural goods.

Signed by prominent members of Cuban civil society, the letter points out that "the isolation of the people of Cuba benefits the most inflexible interests of its government, while any opening serves to inform and empower the Cuban people and helps to further strengthen our civil society."
