Members of U.S. Congress Write Statement in Support of Progress in Ayotzinapa Investigation

On the sixth anniversary of the disappearance of the 43 students from Ayotzinapa, Congressman Alan Lowenthal, joined by seven other Members of Congress, released a statement supporting the progress made in the investigation by the Lopez Obrador Administration. They encouraged the government to capitalize on the momentum in the case to provide definitive truth and justice to the students’ families. In addressing the broader disappearance crisis in Mexico, the Members expressed that, “As the Mexican government works to bring answers to the families of the disappeared, we believe U.S. support for these efforts should continue to be a key element of our bilateral cooperation.”
