Stamp of Approval on Lifting Cuba Travel Ban from US Conference of Catholic Bishops

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops has endorsed bill H.R. 874, which would allow unrestricted travel to Cuba for all Americans.

The chairman of the Committee of International Justice and Peace of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Rev. Howard J. Hubbard, expressed his full support for the bi-partisan bill introduced by Congressmen Delahunt and Flake late last week.  The chairman notes in his letter of support that "improving the lives of the Cuban people and encouraging democracy and human rights in Cuba will best be advanced through more, rather than less, contact between the Cuban and American people."
