UNODC report on Crime in Central America

This May 2007 report from the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), analyzes the links between development and crime in Central America. The report finds that particular characteristics of the region including its, geography, demographics, and economic and social inequality all contribute to Central America's vulnerability to crime, which in turn, poses a formidable challenge to development in the region.
