Webinar: Addressing Organized Crime and Corruption in Venezuela

By WOLA Staff

From 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, the WOLA Venezuela program hosted a webinar event with experts from Insight Crime and the International Crisis Group to hear about organized crime, corruption, and the problematic “narcostate” narrative.

This event was held following the publication of a recent WOLA report, “Beyond the Narcostate Narrative,” which discusses these themes in greater depth.

Our experts led a discussion on this “narcostate” narrative, which many hardliners in Venezuela and the United States have invoked to argue that a negotiated solution is not viable in Venezuela.
