WOLA Senior Associate Gimena Sanchez worked closely with PBS on The War We Are Living, the fourth in a five-part series on women and war, released on November 1 on PBS. The War We Are Living details the campaign led by Clemencia Carabali and Francia Marquez, two Afro-Colombian women in La Toma, Cauca, who fought to prevent armed groups from evicting La Toma residents from their lands after the government granted a Colombian businessman a mining permit.
