The Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) invites you to the following online event:
BORDERLAND: The Line Within
Private Documentary Screening and Panel Discussion
“The United States border is not just a geographic location. The border is everywhere.”
The documentary BORDERLAND: The Line Within humanizes and critically examines U.S. immigration enforcement agencies and the Border Industrial Complex— responsible for instilling fear and suffering within migrant communities living through or being threatened by possible detention, incarceration, deportation, or family separation, and capitalizing on it.
Join us, the film creators, and experts, for a conversation about the film and the urgent need to shift public opinion regarding undocumented families and border policies. We will explore the shortcomings in the U.S. immigration system and border enforcement, emphasizing the importance of protecting human rights.
