The International Forum on Haitian Migration in the Americas aims to be an academic and political event of continental and multilateral character seeking to bring together, for two days (May 25 and 26 and 2017) in the Colombian city of Cartagena, the main actors involved or interested in the issue of Haitian migration.

WOLA will be co-sponsoring this Forum, which intends to make visible, understand and evaluate the current situation of Haitian migrants in the Americas after the earthquake of January 12, 2010; to identify the challenges of protecting the human rights of this population; and to seek short and medium term alternatives to address these challenges at the continental level and from a multilateral perspective.
