Seeking refuge and opportunity, Central Americans continue to flee devastating levels of crime, violence, and insecurity in their home countries. While traveling through Mexico en route to the United States, many of these individuals are re-victimized as they are often subjected to crime and violence on their journey. Despite the risks, migrants continue to make the life-threatening trip north, demonstrating their desperation and strong perseverance. Please join us for a conversation with the acclaimed photojournalist Joseph Sorrentino, who will share his latest work chronicling the stories of Central American migrants seeking refuge in the United States and their experiences in Mexico.
