Georgetown University’s Center for Latin American Studies and the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) cordially invite you to the following webinar:

Since November 2018, Colombia’s Commission for the Clarification of Truth, Coexistence and Non-Repetition (The Truth Commission) has been gathering testimonies from over 28,000 victims in an attempt to clarify how the trauma of the decades-long conflict impacted victims and Colombia’s society at large. The Commission was created in 2017 after the signing of the historic 2016 Peace Accord. Recently, Colombia’s Constitutional Court extended its mandate until June 2022 when the Commission is expected to issue its final report.

What does it mean to search for the truth of Colombia’s armed conflict? What has been the process of searching for such truth and what challenges remain ahead?

Join us for a webinar conversation with Father Francisco de Roux, President of the Commission, on November 10th, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. EST.
