Bessie Rivera (she/her) is the Finance and Operations Coordinator at WOLA, where she supports the Vice President of Finance and Operations with day-to-day bookkeeping, office management and supports the tech and administrative needs for the entire organization.
Born and raised in San Salvador, El Salvador, Bessie is passionate about human rights advocacy throughout the Americas, specifically related to the rights of immigrants and asylum seekers. Prior to working at WOLA, Bessie was the Administrative and Operations Assistant at the DC Youth Orchestra Program where she supported the organization’s mission to expand access to music education and opportunities in the greater DC area.
