Lizabelt Avila

Lizabelt is the Assistant Director for Partnerships on the Development team at the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA). She helps to manage WOLA’s relationships with existing institutional donors and foundations through drafting and submitting grant proposals, reports, and other written materials. Lizabelt also oversees donor cultivation and prospect research efforts to expand partnerships and support organizational growth. Prior to this, she assisted the development team at WOLA in managing the donor database, supporting the annual WOLA Human Rights Awards Ceremony and Benefit gala, and preparing and distributing communication materials.

Before joining WOLA, Lizabelt worked with The Nature Conservancy as a Princeton in Latin America Fellow, supporting the preparation of grant proposals and projects in the region. Prior to The Nature Conservancy, she interned for the U.S. Department of State and volunteered for UnidosNow. Lizabelt graduated from New College of Florida, double majoring in International and Area Studies and Political Science.
