Lizabelt is the Development Assistant and supports the Partnerships and Philanthropy team at WOLA. She graduated from New College of Florida, double majoring in International and Area Studies and Political Science. Before joining WOLA, she worked with The Nature Conservancy as a Princeton in Latin America Fellow, supporting public funds and projects in the region.
Prior to that, she worked in various civil and human rights issues, drafting student mentorship guidelines for UnidosNow, investigating and reporting on violence against women in Mexico as a State Department intern, and working with The Humanity Formula in securing resources for refugee camps in Germany. She also studied International Law in The Hague and completed the Rangel International Affairs Summer Program at Howard University.
