Sienna Woo is the Venezuela Program Assistant at WOLA where she coordinates outreach with partners, produces written materials, conducts research, and provides programmatic support. Sienna is from Denver, Colorado and graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU) with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Spanish.
While at NWU, Sienna became passionate about international politics and human rights issues. With her Spanish language background, she was drawn to human rights issues in Latin America and conducted research on indigenous legislative representation in Chile. Before joining WOLA, Sienna was an intern at the U.S. Department of State in the Western Hemispheric Affairs Bureau’s Office of Andean Affairs, where she provided support for the Ecuador Desk by conducting research, producing policy memos and briefings for senior officers.
