Gun Trafficking

More than 60,000 people have died in drug-related violence in Mexico since 2006. Lax gun laws in the United States have contributed to this tragedy. Approximately 70 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico and submitted for tracing were trafficked from the United States. WOLA advocates for policies to stop gun trafficking as a way to address drug-related violence in Mexico.
