WOLA: Advocacy for Human Rights in the Americas

The Central America Monitor collects data on more than 100 qualitative and quantitative indicators in eight key areas. The Monitor started collecting data in 2014 and will update this platform annually to provide an ongoing resource to assess advances, setbacks, or lack of movement on specific human rights and rule of law issues. The bulk of the quantitative data is obtained from primary sources through official requests for information. To see the data, start by clicking on a country below, then selecting a main category. Under each category, select a specific indicator to explore the corresponding data points. You may also download the raw data, download or share the graphics, and view or share some key findings.
