Activist and videographer Miguel Arturo Albizures Pedrosa became yet another human rights defender to fall victim of intimidations in Guatemala after filming a demonstration against government officials. On October 30, gunmen opened fire on his home, though luckily no one was hurt. Albizures is the Vice-President of Asociación COMUNICARTE, a media organization that has produced videos on human rights issues in Guatemala for 18 years.
