In Latin America, the media plays a fundamental role in shaping narratives about LGBTQ+ communities. However, misinformation, stereotypes, and invisibility remain persistent obstacles to fair and dignified representation. In this context, queer media outlets and journalists have emerged who not only assert their right to tell their own stories but have also become key players in the fight against misinformation and in the defense of human rights.

This webinar aims to explore the role of LGBTQ+ journalism in Latin America as a tool for resistance, representation, and truth-making. Through a panel of journalists and communicators from the region, we want to highlight their work, the challenges they face, and the strategies they have developed to combat misinformation about their communities.

This event will be in Spanish with English interpretation.
