WOLA in the United States

WOLA advocates for U.S. policies that strengthen democracy, social justice, and human rights across the Americas by amplifying the voices of Latin American civil society in Washington and proposing necessary reforms. Our research and advocacy efforts aim to influence U.S. foreign policy to prioritize human rights, fortify the rule of law, and promote peace and security. Domestically, we develop strategies to advance reforms in U.S. migration and humane drug policies.

We are committed to addressing systemic inequalities and amplifying marginalized voices in decision-making. By engaging with policymakers, we advocate for U.S. foreign policy that prioritizes human dignity and justice, protecting the rights of women, Afro-descendants, Indigenous communities, and LGBTQIA+ individuals in the region.
