On March 24, President Donald Trump issued an Executive Order that imposes a 25 percent tariff on all goods imported into the U.S. from any country that imports Venezuelan oil. This order, effective April 2, 2025, was followed by the revocation of key licenses for companies operating in Venezuela, with activities required to wind down by May 27.
