Join the Global Women’s Institute (GWI) in partnership with the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA), Voices of Nicaragua, and the GW International and Comparative Law Program for a panel to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Nicaraguan political and social crisis.
Panelists will address issues for women in leadership roles in the context of protests and the effects of repression (human rights, political participation, press freedom, economy and youth). This panel will include prominent International experts and Nicaraguan activists who have been working for gender equality, justice, democracy and freedom.
