Please join the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA), the Center for Justice and Peace (CEPAZ), citizen movement Dale Letra, the Global Observatory of Communication and Democracy (OGCD), Red Observación Electoral, Red Electoral Ciudadana (REC), Sinergia, and Voto Joven for an upcoming event:

In Venezuela, democratic institutions have suffered a breakdown which has prevented its citizens from participating in genuine elections. Any attempt to resolve the conflict in Venezuela must involve coordinated action between international bodies with the necessary technical expertise to recover the electoral route as a peaceful and constitutional solution to the country’s complex crisis.

The EU and the UN are both well-situated to offer electoral assistance in the form of providing electoral experts including electoral commission staff and observers, financial assistance, and other legal, operational and logistical support. Join WOLA, CEPAZ, and a coalition of Foro Cívico civil society organizations on Tuesday, June 29 at 10:00 a.m. EDT for a discussion on the opportunities for the UN and EU to provide technical assistance during future electoral processes in Venezuela, and how other member states could contribute toward this objective.
