WOLA: Advocacy for Human Rights in the Americas
Executive Assistant and Internship Coordinator

Crystal Yuille

Crystal Yuille is the Executive Assistant and Internship Coordinator at WOLA. Her responsibilities include serving as the Liaison to the Board of Directors and managing the Sally Yudelman Internship Program.

Crystal graduated from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill with B.A.s in Global Studies and Public Policy, with a minor in Hispanic Culture. During her college career, her passion for cross-cultural immersion and advocacy led her to travel every summer. She studied Hispanic cultures and history through UNC’s exchange program at Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico, interned with La Secretaría de Bienestar y Juventud in Envigado, Colombia, accompanied academics and professionals in an African-Diasporic research tour in Cuba, and travelled to Colombia once again to research the parallels between identity politics and cultural resistance in the popular Caleño festival, El Festival Petronio Alvarez. She aims to continue pursuing opportunities that allow her to serve in solidarity with marginalized peoples domestically, and in Latin America and the Caribbean.
