Rights and Development 

WOLA’s Rights and Development program works to place human rights at the center of development, with a primary focus on rural poverty and inequality in the rural sector.  WOLA believes that poverty cannot be substantially reduced without paying special attention to the plight of rural communities which includes promoting policies that provide rural peoples access to productive resources.  The Rights and Development program also focuses on the impact of the U.S. trade policy in Latin America especially in regards to rural sectors and workers rights
