WOLA Senior Associate Vicki Gass Comments on OAS General Assembly and Honduras

“Emboldened by the success of the coup, its supporters continue to thumb their noses at the international community's call for open, participatory debate on constitutional reforms.”

Vicki Gass, Senior Associate for Rights & Development at WOLA, responded to the IAD"s Latin American Advisor's question related to accomplishments of the recent OAS General Assembly focusing on Honduras.  Gass said that "to reinstate Honduras to the OAS without investigating human rights violations or implementing the OAS commission's recommendations only rewards those responsible for the coup and sends a dangerous message to other member countries."  Download the article here.
