WOLA warmly invites you to an in-person event: In the Mouth of the Wolf: A conversation about press freedom in Mexico on: Thursday, October 19 at 6:00pm ET.

Join us as Katherine Corcoran discusses her book, In the Mouth of the Wolf: A Murder, a Cover-Up, and the True Cost of Silencing the Press, a detailed account of the murder of journalist Regina Martínez as well as the implications of violent suppression on press freedoms, with Alfredo Corchado, Border and Mexico correspondent for The Dallas Morning News and author of Homelands and Midnight In Mexico, which narrates his own harrowing encounter with corruption and threats from organized crime.

This is an in-person event and will take place at the National Press Club, 529 14th Street, NW, 13th floor.

The event is sponsored by the Washington Office on Latin America, National Association of Hispanic Journalists: American University chapter, and the PBS Public Editor.
