Civilians and Social Leaders Require Protection in Colombia Part II

Dear all,

The humanitarian and security situation remains dire for human rights defenders and civilians caught in the crossfire of armed groups. Afrodescendant and Indigenous communities remain confined and their lives are disproportionately at risk. Documented below are human rights violations WOLA has received from the end of February 2023 to the beginning of June 2023. We urge U.S. policymakers to remain committed to developing a strategic implementation of the 2016 Peace Accords as accompaniers to the Ethnic Chapter and to support all efforts made to prevent further human rights violations from taking place.
